    Peach Pie Avocado Smoothie

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Want to know the magic ingredient for a super indulgent, rich and creamy smoothie? It's avocado! This avocado smoothie tastes like peach pie!

Peach Smoothie in a Jar with Peaches in the Background.

I know, this is weird. I think it's weird anyway. No, that's not true. I though it was weird, but when I realized people were putting avocados in smoothies, I had to give it a try.

My husband thought it was weird. He's enjoying my smoothie kick and when told him I was whipping up a smoothie for us to share, he was initially very excited. When I told him it was a peach-avocado smoothie he suggested I refrain from disclosing the ingredients of my recipes when they are weird, as was the case here.

One taste of this and I knew it wasn't just an a peach avocado smoothie, but rather an avocado peach pie smoothie. It tastes like pie. Is that weird? Weird can be good.

I got my husband to drink this, despite my ingredient disclosure. He seemed rather surprised that it actually tasted like peach pie.

Avocado adds richness to your smoothie in the form of healthy fat. Fat + sweet and juicy fruits = pie flavor!

    Ingredient Notes

    • Avocado. Use an avocado that's nice and ripe, but not overripe. The flesh should give slightly when pressed with a finger. You can also try to pull out the stem of your avocado to test for ripeness. If it's ripe, it should be green underneath. If it's brown underneath, it's overripe. If the stem won't come out, the avocado isn't ripe yet.
    • Peach. Make sure your peach is ripe as well. We're using a fresh peach, but frozen can be subbed if peaches aren't in season.
    • Non-dairy milk. Use your favorite variety, such as soy, almond, or cashew milk.
    • Maple syrup. You can use another liquid sweetener, such as agave, if you'd like.
    • Cinnamon. This helps out with that whole pie flavor thing!

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Is this smoothie gluten-free?

    It is!

How can I add protein to my peach avocado smoothie?

Add a scoop of vegan protein powder before blending. I recommend going with a vanilla flavor!

Do I need to peel the peach?

Nope! The peel gets blended up with everything else.

I know, it's kind of crazy isn't it? Since making this I've tried avocado + chocolate and that works well too. Thanks Julie! :)
