You only need two minutes and two ingredients to make homemade vegan buttermilk! It's the perfect substitute for buttermilk in just about any recipe.

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (Note 1)
  • 1 cup unflavored and unsweetened non-dairy milk (less one tablespoon)
Instructions
  1. Add the apple cider vinegar to a liquid measuring cup that's sized to hold at least 1 cup.

  2. Pour non dairy milk into the measuring cup with the vinegar, stopping once your reach the 1 cup marker.

  3. Stir to combine.

  4. Use your vegan buttermilk as a direct substitute for dairy buttermilk in any recipe.

Recipe Notes
