A hearty and healthy breakfast of spiced beaked pears and raisins topped with oats and pecans.

Ingredients
For the Base Layer
  • 2 large pears peeled and cut into ½ inch cubes
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. powdered ginger
For the Oat Crumble Topping
  • 1 cup rolled oats optionally gluten free
  • ¼ cup pecans
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • tsp. salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Lightly oil or coat with cooking spray a 9 x 9 baking dish or 10 inch cast iron skillet.
  3. Place all base layer ingredients in baking dish or skillet and stir until completely mixed. Spread in an even layer.
  4. Stir oat crumble topping ingredients together in a small bowl. Sprinkle over base layer.
  5. Bake 40-45 minutes, until pears are tender and oats are lightly browned.
