Place all ingredients into a mason jar with a lid. (Note 1)
Place the lid on the mason jar, then shake it vigorously until the mixture forms a smooth emulsion. This should only take a few seconds.
Open the jar, taste-test the dressing, and make any adjustments to needed to suit your taste. Close the jar and shake it again.
Serve.
