Like my little still life there? I had this post all planned out and then realized I didn’t know what to use as my cover image. I didn’t really want to reuse one of the photos of my dishes.
I had a basket of gourds. Of course! What says Thanksgiving like a basket of gourds? Right, because that’s what we all eat on that day, isn’t it? As I was staging and photographing this I remembered being a little kid, and my mom buying a basket of gourds to sit on the table, and me wondering why she would do that. What’s the point? We can’t eat them, and they’re called “gourds.” That sounds awful. Now here I am, not only proudly displaying, but even photographing, my very own gourds. What a long way I’ve come. Thanks mom ;)
